HFCSD Campus Water Testing: No PFOA Detected. January 22, 2016.

There have been widespread concerns in our community regarding the municipal water supply for the Village of Hoosick Falls. Testing has indicated that the village water is contaminated by perfluorooctanoic acid; an unregulated contaminant commonly know as PFOA.

UPDATE 1/22/2016:

We have created a page with more information that came from the EPA meeting about the contamination in the Village of Hoosick Falls municipal water supply. You can view that page HERE. Also, that page has the full video of the public meeting we hosted on our campus.

Our Transportation Department water tested positive for PFOA. It is important to note that our transportation department has tested positive, NOT the school campus. The bus garage location is 1.2 miles from our main campus. Our water at the school is safe, and we continue to test our school campus water to ensure that we are providing a safe water supply to our kids. More information about our Transportation Department situation can be found HERE.

You can view the test results for our school campus HERE.
