As our community works through the contamination situation with the municipal water supply, bottled water is avaliable at the local grocery store for residents. However, some people need a helping hand and members of the NHS are doing what they can to assist residents.
Members of the Philip Leonard Chapter of the National Honor Society volunteered from 11am-3pm at the TOPS Supermarket Sunday, and will volunteer again next weekend from 10am-2pm. Students helped people load water into their carts and helped to load water in vehicles. They are also working to spread the word about a home delivery option offered by a group of volunteers in the village for those people who can’t get to TOPS. Great job by the NHS members, and thank you!
